USAVPP Automatic Train Operation Mode Under Control of the BORT Traffic Safety System

On October 6, a test run was carried out on the Karagandy–Astana section on a KZ8A electric locomotive in automatic operation mode under the control of the BORT onboard traffic safety system, with Transtelesoft representatives on board to gather feedback from locomotive crews.

Unifying the systems' algorithms made it possible to implement their interaction over a single digital channel, freeing the driver from having to enter trip data twice into different systems and synchronizing their operation into a single complex — a change positively received by locomotive drivers.
