Third International Scientific and Technical Conference "Railway Rolling Stock: Problems, Solutions, Prospects"

The III International Scientific and Technical Conference "Railway Rolling Stock: Problems, Solutions, Prospects" was held from April 17 to 20, 2024. The organizers of the conference were the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Transport University, and the Railway Transport Research Center. Delegates from Switzerland, Azerbaijan, China, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan took part in the conference, and, as usual, representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan delivered a large number of presentations.

The aim of the conference was to analyze problems and find solutions in the design, manufacture, and creation of new rolling stock, as well as the repair and modernization of existing rolling stock, and to discuss promising directions for the industry's development.

The topic of developing solutions in the field of railway traffic safety, using the example of the "BORT" system from Transtelesoft LLC, was presented by Dmitry Vitalyevich Volkovsky, Head of the Development Department. The presentation noted that, following the results of the conference held a year earlier, the TEM2 6606 diesel locomotive of Uzbekiston Temir Yullari JSC was equipped with the "BORT" system; static and dynamic tests were conducted, and after the certification confirmation procedure under the CU TR (Customs Union Technical Regulations) is completed, the wide-scale application of the new safety devices across the locomotive fleet of the Republic of Uzbekistan is planned.
