PRO//Dvizhenie Expo 2023, St. Petersburg

On August 24-27, Transtelesoft LLC took part in the international railway exhibition of the 1520 space "PRO//Dvizhenie Expo 2023" in St. Petersburg.

At the Transtelesoft LLC stand, guests got acquainted with innovative solutions and products, including the "Bort" locomotive traffic safety system. The "Bort" system is already successfully operating on locomotives across the railway network of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Specifically for operation on Russian railways, Transtelesoft LLC specialists, together with JSC NIIAS, developed the "Bort-R" locomotive safety system; in particular, an interface based on the graphical solution of the "Blok" system, developed on the hardware platform of Transtelesoft LLC, was implemented. The Bort-R system is integrated with all related train systems: video surveillance and recording, fire protection, fire alarm, communication, passenger counting, USB, as well as with the latest automation and traffic control systems for urban, industrial and mainline rail transport developed by the TMH-Intellectual Systems group of companies, such as the "Virtual Coupling" technology.

Visitors were shown the On-board Predictive Diagnostics System and the driver assistance system for reverse movement, which was also presented as part of the first shunting electric locomotive in the history of Russian transport engineering, the EMKA2, at the exhibition's open-air display.

As part of the first day of the business program of the XI International Railway Equipment and Technology Salon "PRO//Dvizhenie.Expo" in St. Petersburg, a panel discussion "The Future of Unmanned Vehicles. When and What Levels of Automation Will Be Introduced on Railway Rolling Stock" was held, attended by Andrey Romanchikov, TMH Managing Director for the Development of Intelligent Control Systems and General Director of TMH Intellectual Systems.

During the discussion, it was noted that TMH is developing rolling stock and preparing production with a view to achieving maximum automation.

The stand of the TMH-Intellectual Systems group of companies, featuring the Transtelesoft LLC exposition, was very popular and saw a continuous stream of visitors.

The stand of the TMH-IS group of companies was visited, during a tour of the exhibition, by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Valentin Ivanov, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov, Head of the St. Petersburg Metro Yevgeny Kozin, and TMH General Director Kirill Lipa.

Kirill Lipa, General Director of JSC Transmashholding, and Andrey Romanchikov, General Director of TMH-Intellectual Systems, gave the delegation a detailed account of breakthrough automation technologies in the field of automated traffic and locomotive control and safety, and the advantages and capabilities of machine vision and locomotive key component diagnostics systems. The machine vision system has unique capabilities for object recognition and information analysis, making it indispensable for railway infrastructure.

Guests showed great interest in the presentation of the latest automation systems for urban rail traffic control, locomotive safety systems and control systems that provide extended diagnostics of on-board systems and devices and prompt transmission of diagnostic information from the locomotive to the depot via digital communication channels.

As part of business meetings, Transtelesoft LLC specialists held talks with a number of foreign companies from friendly countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China and Turkey. As a result of the meetings, roadmaps were outlined for the implementation of joint projects in the rapidly developing railway industry within the 1520 gauge space.

The "PRO//Dvizhenie Expo-2023" railway salon was held for the first time in St. Petersburg, at the Russian Railway Museum. More than 100 Russian and foreign companies took part in the event.

Manufacturers of rolling stock and freight rail transport presented more than 30 new pieces of railway equipment. The exhibition covered an area of more than 4,000 square meters in the pavilions and the open area, and more than 1,000 running meters on the rail track. The event schedule traditionally included spectacular dynamic displays of locomotives from various historical eras. The event became a major highlight for the entire Russian and international railway industry, summing up important results and defining the vectors of development for the railway engineering industry for the coming years.
