International scientific and practical meeting at the Almaty locomotive depot

Ahead of the start of the Eurasian Forum on Safety and Digitalization in Railway Transport, an important meeting of industry representatives took place. Companies of the TMH Intelligent Systems group presented their latest developments to locomotive depot staff, forum participants, and event guests.

Transtelesoft demonstrated the operation of the innovative BORT system with integrated USAVP-P automatic train operation. During the event, delegates were able to examine in detail how the innovative BORT system works on operational locomotives. Special attention was paid to the design of the modern TEP33A, TE33A, KZ4AT, and CKD6S locomotives, where the system has been successfully integrated and functions under real operating conditions. The effectiveness of the remote monitoring system for locomotive operating parameters was demonstrated separately. Dmitry Volkovsky, Head of the Development Department at Transtelesoft, gave a presentation on the BORT system and other promising products of the TMH Intelligent Systems group of companies. Vadim Shamin led a tour of the operations workshop and spoke about the work of specialists decoding trip registration files in the BORT Decoding Workstation (ARM KR) software.

Artem Bikuzhin, senior driver-instructor of the locomotive depot, spoke on behalf of KTZ NC JSC. He talked about the company's progressive development and about the types and characteristics of the locomotives in operation and new, promising locomotives featuring wide use of the BORT locomotive system.

RailNext LLC presented its latest development — a modern, in-house-produced locomotive radio station.

NIITKD JSC presented the "PROGNOZ-PRO" mobile diagnostic complex for detecting faults in a locomotive's running gear. Advanced vibration diagnostics technologies were also showcased.

Participants showed great interest in the forward-car-movement video control system from AVP Tekhnologiya LLC, and the "ZVENO" moving-block train interval control system, whose rear-car sensor was demonstrated.

After the business part of the program concluded, participants were treated to a familiarization trip on the TEP33A 0052 diesel locomotive on the Almaty–Kapchagay section.

The locomotive is equipped with the modern BORT traffic safety system with integrated USAVP-P automatic train operation. During the trip, participants personally witnessed the system's effectiveness while hauling passenger train No. 352 in automatic operation mode under the full control of BORT.

As a reminder, the "Eurasian Forum on Safety and Digitalization in Railway Transport" will kick off in Almaty on October 3, where the division's companies will continue to introduce participants to innovative solutions.

We invite all industry professionals to take part in the forum and personally evaluate the technologies presented!
