NC "KTZ" JSC Locomotive Fleet Expands with New Diesel Locomotives Fitted with the BORT Onboard Traffic Safety System

On October 2, 2024, a monitored run was carried out on the Almaty–Sary Ozek section aboard TEP33A locomotive No. 0051 in automatic operation mode integrated into the BORT system.

The main purpose of the event was for Transtelesoft, the developer of the traffic safety system, to test the operation of the BORT system and gather feedback from locomotive crews. The decision to integrate the display of automatic operation data onto the BORT touchscreen LCD monitor made it possible to remove one of the USAVP monitors from the cab, reducing the psycho-physiological load on the driver and earning positive feedback from locomotive crews.
